Yacht catering and provisioning in Barcelona

Feeding a boat is not feeding a room. Whether you are out for three hours or crossing, whether you have a cook on board or nobody, the right answer is not the same. Poc a Pots, French cooking in Barcelona since 2017, covers all three: ready-to-serve for the day, frozen cooked meals for the passage, and a chef who comes on board.

Three needs, three answers

The first question is not “which menu”, it is how long you are at sea and who cooks. Everything else follows.

  • You are out for the day — brunch, aperitif, pica pica, client outing or birthday. Everything arrives cold and ready to serve: nothing to cook, nothing to reheat, nobody to tie up. See boat catering in Barcelona.
  • You are away for several days — delivery trip, cruise, regatta, passage. We cook your meals ashore, blast freeze them at −18 °C and portion them by watch. On board, all that is left is reheating. See yacht provisioning.
  • You want a proper dinner alongside — management committee, VIP clients, private occasion. A chef comes on board, cooks on the spot and serves. See private chef.

The day outing

It is the most requested format on Barcelona charters, and the one where the gap shows most: between a bag of crisps with olives and a real French platter, the client remembers one of the two.

Three formulas, minimum 5 people, order 48 h before departure, delivery included at Port Vell, Marina Vela and Port Olímpic, ready-to-serve catering packaging on compostable trays.

The multi-day passage

Barcelona provisioning companies deliver excellent produce: wagyu, lobster, fine groceries. Perfect when you have a cook on board. Without one, you end up with beautiful raw ingredients and nobody to work them, in a galley that is heeling.

We deliver cooking, not shopping. The dishes are prepared in our Barcelona kitchens, blast frozen at −18 °C, portioned and labelled. Two points really matter to a crew:

  • Portioning by watch. At sea, nobody eats at the same time. We portion for 1 to 3 people, not for the whole crew — you do not defrost a six-portion block for two.
  • Flat packaging. The pouches stack into regular blocks in an on-board freezer. You gain considerable volume over rigid trays, and you can see what you have without unloading everything.

Each portion carries the fourteen regulated allergens, the production date, the freezing date, the use-by date and the reheating instructions. Delivered to the pontoon in a refrigerated vehicle, still frozen. The full detail is here.

For charter companies, brokers and crews

Part of what we deliver goes out under the boat's name, not ours: that is normal and it suits us. If you charter, sell charter or run vessels in Barcelona, what interests you is usually the same three things.

  • A single point of contact and a quote within 48 working hours, including when the request lands on a Friday evening.
  • A format that does not depend on your crew : no cooking, no plating, no service to plan for the day formulas.
  • Clean invoicing, in Spanish, French or English, with VAT reverse charge for European companies holding a valid intra-Community number.

We already work this way with concierge services and agencies in the city. The principle is the same alongside.

The marinas

Delivery included at Port Vell, Marina Vela and Port Olímpic. We also deliver elsewhere on the coast — Port Ginesta, Vilanova, Badalona, Castelldefels — but tell us early: it is not the distance that matters, it is the time slot and pontoon access.

The Saló Nàutic, 14 to 18 October

Barcelona's international boat show runs at Port Vell from 14 to 18 October 2026, with more room given to large vessels this year. It is when charter companies set their next season and when crews cross paths. If you are preparing yours, let's talk beforehand: an on-board formula is settled in one conversation and one quote, not in the middle of high season.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a galley on board?

Not for the day formulas: everything arrives cold and ready to serve. For passage provisioning you need a freezer and a way to reheat — a stove and a pan are enough, there is nothing to cook.

How far in advance should I order?

48 h before departure for the day formulas, 72 h if you add a personalised cake. For a multi-day passage, allow more: the meal plan is built with you, and production follows.

Do you deliver straight to the pontoon?

Yes, at the agreed time, at Port Vell, Marina Vela and Port Olímpic at no extra cost. Elsewhere on the coast, it is priced in the quote.

Can dietary requirements and allergies be handled on board?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options across the whole catalogue, and allergens listed on every portion for provisioning. Tell us how many people are concerned: we prefer a clearly identified platter or batch to a mix.

Do you supply white label?

Yes. Many of our deliveries go out under the boat's or the agency's name. That is normal practice in charter and we have no issue with it.

What happens if the outing is cancelled because of the weather?

Tell us as soon as you know. A cold formula can often be moved to another date; frozen production keeps. We always look for the solution where nobody loses money.

Do you invoice foreign companies?

Yes, under the reverse charge mechanism for European companies holding a valid intra-Community VAT number, checked via VIES. Invoices in French, Spanish or English.

The date, the pontoon, the number of people on board and how long you are out: with that we come back within 48 working hours with a costed proposal. If you sail tomorrow, call rather than write.
